We understand that your pets are part of your family. To ensure a safe flight for them, our crew, and other passengers, we apply the following transportation regulations.
1. Pets in Cabin (PETC)
The transportation of small dogs and cats in the passenger cabin is allowed, provided they meet the following requirements:
Maximum Weight: The total weight (pet + carrier) must not exceed 8 kg (17 lbs).
Carrier (Transport Bag): Must be made of flexible or semi-rigid material, with adequate ventilation and a waterproof base.
Dimensions: The carrier must not exceed 40 cm long x 30 cm wide x 20 cm high, as it must be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.
Behavior: The pet must remain inside the carrier throughout the flight and must not have a bad odor or aggressive behavior.
2. Pets in Hold (AVIH)
If your pet exceeds the allowed weight for the cabin, they may travel in the climate-controlled cargo hold:
Permitted Species: Dogs and cats weighing between 9 kg and 45 kg (including the carrier).
Rigid Carrier (Kennel): Must be made of sturdy plastic, with a metal door and secure locks. It must allow the animal to stand up, turn around, and lie down naturally.
Documentation: A health certificate issued by a veterinarian and a valid vaccination record (including the rabies vaccine) are required.
3. Non-Permitted Animals (Restrictions)
For animal health and safety reasons, we do not accept transportation of the following categories:
Brachycephalic Breeds (Short Muzzle): Transportation in the hold is not permitted for dogs (such as Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers) or cats (Persians, Birmans) due to their high risk of respiratory problems and heat stroke during the flight. Some breeds may travel in the cabin if they meet the 8 kg weight limit.
Animals Under 4 Months Old: Due to health and incomplete vaccination schedule, puppies under this age are not accepted.
Exotic Species: We do not transport rodents, reptiles, insects, or birds of prey. Only dogs and cats are allowed as domestic pets.
Pregnant Females: Transportation is not allowed for animals in advanced stages of pregnancy or those that have given birth in the last 48 hours.
4. Service and Emotional Support Animals
Guide/Service Dogs: Travel in the cabin at no additional cost and without the need for a carrier, as long as they wear their harness and have official documentation.
Emotional a recent medical certificate from a mental health professional and must comply with the size rules to travel in the cabin or hold as appropriate.
Important: Pet transportation is subject to space availability and requires a reservation at least 48 hours before the flight. Service charges apply depending on the route.
